We work with both acrylic and watercolour – two water-based techniques that are very different, yet equally enjoyable. We begin the lessons as a group, but with just 4 to 8 guests, you’ll receive plenty of personal attention to explore your own style and progress at your own pace. Alongside acrylics and watercolours, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with other materials like charcoal, graphite, and Indian ink – perfect for sketching ideas or adding depth to your paintings.

The spacious studio is a wonderful place to work, staying pleasantly cool even in summer.

Where do you paint?

Step outside into the gardens of La Forêt Souriante, where painting becomes pure pleasure. When we need shade, we retreat to the airy covered studio in the former stables, surrounded by the forest’s calm. Work at your own pace, on an easel or table, and continue painting in the afternoons – all part of a relaxed, small-group painting holiday in France.
